to have had you in my life has been a blessing
and sometimes I catch myself hoping for more
a lot has come and gone
sometimes I am sure that its over
and other times I habour a glint of perseverance
through it all you've meant so much
and to give up now would be a bitter shame
you held me high, when I didn't know how to
and the person I am today,
