the dafodil principal
As i swirl in fields of dafodils
a vivid purple, yellow, green
calmingly sweet under the glare of the sun
my heart elated, a folly kind of glee
the wind whizzing pass,
filling the air with splashes of yellow
my arms outstretched
as i spin like a giddy school girl
my eyes dazzled by the colours
streaks of blue, white, orange
dafodils breaking my fall
as together we lay
